Our Services
-
RISE Connections is a graduation ceremony following each eight-week RISING Together program to help children stay connected with the peers and volunteers they met during their bereavement journey.
It is important to us that every child knows they will always have a safe and supportive place with R.I.S.E. Northwest. -
Every participant who completes RISING Together, along with graduates from previous sessions, will be invited to attend. Our goal is to welcome up to 50 participants at each RISE Connections event.
-
Each RISE Connections event will be a fun-filled two-hour gathering held on the Saturday following the final RISING Together session.
The afternoon will include engaging activities such as Family Feud, Mystery Box Challenge, Lip Sync Battle, and team-building games.
We will then bring the children and their families together for a shared meal, where we will celebrate and honor each participant who has graduated from RISING Together.
We'll conclude the event with an activity focused on building resilience, strengthening life skills, and continuing the healing process.
-
RISE Connection ceremonies will take place three times a year, after each eight-week RISING Together program.

HOLISTIC SUPPORT
SELF-EXPRESSION & COMMUNITY
Offering holistic support to grieving children and teens, the program focuses on creating meaningful connections, building resiliency, and developing healthy coping skills. Each session, led by trained facilitators, follows a carefully curated theme with age-appropriate objectives encompassing recreation, art, expression, and communication, thoughtfully designed by a team of Child Life Specialists.
Participants engage in recreational and educational activities alongside volunteer mentors, fostering long-lasting relationships and providing a sense of community, exploring their emotions freely and expressing themselves creatively, all while receiving guidance and support from trained mentors.
