Become a volunteer

We need your help!

R.I.S.E. Northwest relies on community members like you to support grieving children.

Would you like to volunteer your time and skills? Please read fill out the form below. We will get in touch with you as soon as possible!

RISING Together Mentor

Mentors support grieving children and teens by teaching life skills and engaging in recreational and educational activities through our RISING Together program. Moreover, they develop long-lasting relationships, becoming role models and validators.

Volunteers should expect to spend approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes each week:

  • 15 minutes to prepare for RISING Together

  • 60 minutes facilitating the session every Monday for eight consecutive weeks

  • 15 minutes to wrap up

RISING Together meets weekly for eight consecutive weeks, rather than every other week like our older program, Team RISE. You can review the current schedule here.

Volunteer - Other Duties

We always need volunteers with other talents, as well. Would you like to help us with administrative duties, fundraising, supply drives, or events? Do you have any other specialized skills?

We’d love to have you on the team!

My time with Team R.I.S.E was genuinely life-changing. This experience taught me the value of empathy, and the impact of small acts of kindness in helping the healing of a heart.

Although my tenure was short, it was hands down the greatest volunteer experience I had the pleasure of contributing to.
